lifting drivers side carpet.

   I had a leaky heater matrix recently that's now all fixed. But down the drivers side all the foam under the carpet is soaked.
   
   I want to lift the drivers side carpet up and replace the foam without damaging the carpet ( atleast not any were that will be seen).
   
   I've searched google and all the info I can find is cutting the carpet up to get it out then putting a new one down, I want to keep my current carpet.
   
   Any help would be greatly apprechiated.

   There should be a bolt just at the base of the dash, by the bonnet release catch on the passenger side, and a plastic bit at the top of the carpet behind the pedals
