i no this been covered loads but im confused i have mk2 53 plate vtr 3 plug ecu and it has a black rocker cover is this right as i thought it should be a silver.

just scratched the rocker an there is silver underneath the black so thinking it is painted unless that primer

black top rocker covers dont even look like that anyway, they have 3 pronounced square raised bits rather than tow bits and an indent where the cap fits

And they don't have the recessed square ,in the top upper left for the logo either.

That engine has also a 98bhp throttle body and air filter set up!
3 Plug ecu.
And the element type oil filter, and the dip-stick location!
So its a 98 bhp engine!
