  1. #1
Hi all, lost keys for my saxo, bought new set with ignition barrel/reader ring/transponder box.

Replaced them all and fitted them, and immobiliser light on dash is flashing now.

Any and all help is appreciated

Bump...anyone know if an unlocked ecu will sort it out ?

An unlocked ecu would work providing you remove the black immobiliser rely behind your dash BEFORE you fit it

I replaced ignition, reader ring and transponder but immobiliser lights stays on...Would it matter if I removed it and then fitted it and fired it up?

Not entirely sure mate, all I know is that if you remove the black box it removes the immobiliser so a unlocked ecu would then work

the engine has to be running to unlock the ECU. If youve' connected the new ECU up to the car but left the original immobiliser box on then it will have locked the ECU again.

Gandi, the car won't fire up because ecu throws immobiliser light on when I tried it on a mates 99 vtr, I replaced ignition and transponder coded to key but not had any luck getting it to fire up

    Hiya

This might help. I recently bought a VTS with No keyfob and the alarm was flashing all the time, the previous owner had already taken the sounder off!

Anyway, I followed the guide on here for removing the immobiliser and all was well.

I have however since fitted another engine with an unlocked ECU, the car runs fine "till it fiiiiiing seized up" but the Key-code light flashes all the time.

Hopefully that's some help, but I think you will need to get an unlocked ECU, several firms do it, but it ain't that cheap! £100ish

    Cheers

I unlocked a friends ECU earlier off his saxo which is same year and engine as mine, removed my immobiliser and put his ECU on my car and fired straight up....So I'm beginning to think that my ECU has been locked but I can't unlock it at all
