Front wheel, possible wishbone

  1. #1
Quick one, pics below are the front wheels, the first is the offside and there is a good gap (about another 5mm on the side if my thumb) between the tyre and the arch. Second is the nearside and is sitting further back, I can just squeeze my thumb in the gap.

I'm thinking I need to replace the wishbone to correct this, am I right?

yeah its not uncommon for vt wishbones to bend like that under hard use...

    Thought so, cheers.

Mine bent and looked the same as yours.
Swapped the bone and it was better, but I think it damaged the mounting point from an accident with the biggest badger I've ever seen, ever.
Mine was worse than that, so hopefully it's just the wishbone

Mine had a bump there a few month ago and I just noticed it. But I fitted cheap wishbones a few month before the bump. I've read cheap wishbones don't centre properly so I may as well press new ball joints in the old citroen ones and poly bush them at the same time.

    Fingers crossed.
