westy power

hi
i have a westy,
i don't wanna spend shit loads and know that i may as well get a vtr or vts if i want a drastic increase in power but anything i can go do to squeeze a bit extra out of mine.
so far
k&n panel filter, gonna fit samco to origonal filter housing
full s/s powerflow exhaust.

apart from cams as to expensive, anything else which is worth the money?

apparently the 1.4 isnt a very tuneable engine mate. The only thing you can really do is get a BMC filter or something but to be honest you may aswell forget about speed with a westy unless u have deep pockets. Youve already done the most effective thing and thats a exhuast system. To my knowledge anyway.

what have you done to yours matey if you don't mind me asking.
its a bit annoying as an old clio kicked my arse tonight, could have been a williams though. lol

lol yeah clio 16valves can be pretty nippy too. Just A K&N mate, will be getting a cat back pipercross system but thats as far as i will go because IMO theres not much point putting money in on 'proper' engine mods cause of the power gains

did it smoke you big time?

if so then probs a williams but renault did a 1.8 16v clio which went like sh1t too

get a decat, it gives a good power per bhp and makes a cool exhaust noise other than that ull need alot of money for some proper power.
