Just done my first cambelt change on my SOHC saxo furio, I overtightened it and have run it idling for about 20 mins to see if the whining noise it was making would disappear as it wore in. It didn't, so I need to take some of the tension out. Should I now buy a new belt? Will it have stretched? As a rule I would just replace anything I wasn't 110% sure about, but they're expensive and I wanted to finish my car today
