weird noises when i let off throttle

I dont know how to explain this very well so here goes.

i was driving along at 35mph and started slowing down and heard a weird noise.
i realised that it only made the noise once i let off the throttle while its in gear. the noise is still there very faintly when you put it in neutral with the clutch released.
depressing and releasing the clutch doesn't make any difference and it stop making the noise in neutral once you get to 10mph

ive just done a 35 mile trip down the m4 to get home and the noise had gone but started to reappear once i was nearly home but not as bad as in the beginning.

has anyone had this issue or know what could be causing it any help would be appreciated and if anyone is near fancies popping in to have a look that would be good

Can't quite understand the way you've explained the problem but maybe clutch release bearing?

I had something similar and was a perished engine mount. Worth changing the lot as not expensive
