Ticking/Scratching Noise Under Acceleration

   Hi All,
   
   My 2002 VTR 110k has just started making another worrying noise.
   
   When I accelerate there is a ticking noise coming from the front left of the engine. It sounds like a ticking/scratching noise as though something is spinning and eating away at something.
   
   Is this likely to be the clutch release bearing?
   
   It also ticks/scratches a bit in neutral.
   
   Any help greatly appreciated.

   Press the clutch pedal in, dies the noise go?

   It does disappear when i press the clutch down in neutral. The sound also goes when I press the clutch in after accelerating

   How high is the pedal? Maybe your clutch just needs replacing...

   So it does sound like its clutch related them.

   Going to hopefully slap a new clutch and box on her next month. Fingers crossed it helps.
