1.1 front lowering springs

    Hi, i want to lower my 1.1 saxo 2003 mk 2 desire when i get the vtr kit on it, can i just get the lowering springs or do i have to get the shocks aswell??

    Depends.

    One should upgrade anyway, but you NEED to upgrade when lowering more than 40mm.

    Hit me up if you need the torsion bar done.

    ya i want to lower it 40mm all round, can you find what i need to buy for the front on ebay or something please if possible and ill be putting vts alloys on it 15'' how easy or hard is it to do the torsion bar 40mm, is there anything i need to buy for it or not, not sure lol, and would i be able to just get the springs or do i NEED to upgrade?

    I wouldnt reccomend any 'normal lowering spring' brand other than apex. Try eurocarparts.

    If looking on ebay, Apex springs are yellow, not like the Mis-sold red ones.

    I could supply, fit and adjust torsion for £160 all in. Going offline now though, google me

    You never NEED to upgrade shocks, you can fit whatever springs you want and your car will still drive

    id upgrade even if i was only going down 15mm...

    i imagine like most saxos the shocks on it are probably the original ones so will be at least ten years old, new shocks would wear down quickly with lowered springs imagine how fast 10-15 year old shocks would fail, if you want looks but dont care about ride quality then just fit springs and hope your car will pass an mot

    if you want good ride quality and looks then the cheapest decent kit is the apex one http://www.kamracing.co.uk/car-tunin...saxo-35mm.html

    gone up in price by a fair chunk though, not long ago they were less than £200

    Oh wow, they have gone up! I dont pay that much still for them.

    Kamracing i beleive usually do a discount or group buy on those kits around christmas?
