Saxo vts fuel pump not priming...help?

  1. #1
Hey! I've been having a problem with my 2003 Saxo VTS.
The fuel pump does not prime on second turn of the key, this is then stopping the engine firing up...

    Things I've tried:
    - changing fuel pump,
    - Also checked with a multi-meter the levels of current it was getting, all fine,
    - changing fuel injection relay ,
    - checked all fuses,
    - changing wiring loom,
    - changing coolant sensor,
    - cleaning up the crank shaft sensor,

Tested coil pack with multi-meter too, this was showing less than expected, could this be the problem?

Any help/input would be grateful, I hate not having it

have you wired the pump directly to the battery to see if it works?

Checked the injectors are pumping fuel out?

Does it make no sound at all mate?

What alarm system are you using?

Yeah wired it directly, no luck,
    I'll check the injectors,

And nah, no noise at all,
And it's standard I thinks, was all working fine. Then turned off then didn't start.

Check your earths. Especially the one coming from the fuel pump. If need be you can run an additional earth from the plug to under the seats for example.

Got fuel pump priming, but the engine wont turn over, could this be the coil pack/spark plugs/ earths?

have you checked the spark plugs? earths? mines is still not starting, mines looks like yours, icelandic grey hehe, ive not got round to changing the coilpack, but changed the crankshaft sensor and everything, its murder. but been told it could be to do with the immobilizer or ecu or something. giving up!
