Does anyone know for sure if Saxo REAR calipers are the same as 206 GTi ones? Having seen them they look very similar, but dont want to tell my mate to get a set and they turn out to be similar but different.
Cheers!

They look slightly different as you said but it's just a different take on the same design.
As far as I know they are are both the same internally, have the same fitment and run the same disc size.
So yes they are the same - this goes for the GTI 180 as well
I had loads lying around spare from various saxos / rallyes / 206s etc. Quite a few were no good so the ones I ended up using on my 106 axle were from a 206 and had no issues using the same discs and handbrake cables.

There are actually some slight differences in piston sizes between models iirc but they will all fit straight on and work perfectly.

last thing you need on a saxo is bigger rear calipers --rears lock up to easy anyway

Maybe im still drunk, but wouldnt a bigger piston actualky produce a lower pad pressure for a given pedal force?
