clutch issue??

this is the problem i have.

just replaced gearbox on my vts, uprated clutch new release bearing.

when first running put clutch pedal down cannot select gears, try to go in but grinds, engine not running its fine.

depressed pedal a few times then all was fine. selected gears okay very smooth very quiet, but randomly it stops being able to go into gear, then randomly itll be okay.

i believe i have a 1.1 release bearing, so could that be the issue or could it be some bigger.

anyone come across this issue before????

dunno if the 1.1 bearing is thinner ive never seen one

but your clutch isnt full engaging...adjust the cable mate

it may need a few adjustments when bedding in especially if youre running a decent paddle

could also be the wrong gear oil..but its more likely the clutch adjustment

the thing is, when it is working push the pedal to far it makes a funny noise???

if you put the friction plate in the wrong way, the pressure plate wont bolt up proerly and it wont disengage at all

its definantly not the friction plate, its either a broken clutch, or clutch cable is stretched, i will know tomorrow fingers crossed it aint the clutch, its only done 4000 miles

had the clutch off today and one of the springs has come off, as you can see, is there anyway of repairing this or do i need a new friction plate???

if its from helix, they can refurbish them, also cgp motorsport? they can as well, i dunno if they would want to ge involved or it be cost effective for you but worth a phone call

Sorry, I missed the fact you'd done a few miles already.

That's not the first helix I've seen with springs popping out or broken..

My Helix did the same (Bought it second hand off here). I messaged them on Facebook and they said to send it to them so they can look at it and they sent me a brand new one

I never mentioned I bought it second hand, I just said it broke relatively quick (I had it in there a month)

edit; I reckon I did a pretty good job of it
