Basicially, me and my friend went from N.Ireland to Scotland yesterday, we spent a full day travelling as he was looking a Audi A6 2.7 TDI S-Line. When we got there we met the man selling the car who was Polish, he seemed a nice guy and the car drove perfectly so my friend decided to buy it for 5K. The whole way back the car drove like a dream, no wanring lights, drove smooth the full way across so he thought he got a bargain. We made it to his house last night just after 12 o'clock, after leaving the car off for 15 minutes we went back out to the car and it started fine, he was driving out of the street when the car cut out. When the car cut out the coil light started flashing then the EML light flashed as well, when he tried to start the car after this he was getting nothing. The car does turn over but it's just not kicking in, would I be righ in saying that it could be the fuel pump / fuel pump belt that has shit itself?
Any advice please?
