MOT questions

    Morning all,

    Just a couple of questions before MOT in June.

    Firstly, my headlights.

    I had them in the oven and took the silver casing from around the outside out to black them out. Apparently this is an MOT fail as you cannot focus the light correctly? Last MOT tester said that my lights were NOT original Citroen (Even though they are stamped and ARE originals) is it just a case of an idiotic mechanic?

    Can someone shed some light on this please? (Pun intended)

    Also, airbag light is currently on (Aftermarket steering wheel) If i wanted to turn this off, i believe i would need to fit a normal airbagged steering wheel and replace the seatbelt tensioners. Do they have to match the airbag ECU? or are they just plug and play? (Might be easier to just fit the resistors by clipping the plugs and soldering? but i find that a bit drastic)

    first one prob bollocks mine are same as yours been opened and sprayed and always pass mot's.
    second, easier to fit resistor in steering wheel and be done with it. I soldered mine to a the airbag ring wire I cut off a spare so if I ever need to replace steering wheel it wont need faffing with

    Ah, good shout on the airbag ring. Didnt think of creating a resistor "plug" like you have.
