squeal under acceleration

   Hi Guys
   
   As the title suggests im getting a squeal under acceleration happens in all gears and its getting on my nerves. Sounds like its coming from the engine bay?...
   
   VTS engine with the cam belt done only 3 weeks ago.
   
   any ideas i cant replicate it when the car is on axle stands ?

   Cambelt too tight?You mentioned that the belt was done recently.

   Check for slack in your alternator belt, if its a bit loose you can tighten it, youll see how when you take a look

   Hi Guys ill try to get a video up at the weekend ill get the missus to keep quite and record ill also check the alternator thanks for you input updates to come.

   I had this problem when I had kids in the boot! Had to invest in a gag...bloody kids cost a bomb

    Haha looks like the alternator im gonna give it an adjust this evening

    Get a spray bottle and sray some water on the alternator belt, if the noise goes away for a few seconds you know it's the problem. I've got the same problem at the moment and that's how I diagnosed it. Handy tip to know!
