Gaz strut leaking oil.

   Hi guys, was under my bonnet today and noticed my right hand gaz shock looked like its leaked.

   Krisb noticed it and I had previously copper greased them both so he said it might be that, I bought them from Cam on here a while ago but only had them fitted for a week. He claimed they were only a year old when he sold them, can anyone guide me as to what I can do?

   Don`t want to sound & arse but are you sure it isn`t just water that`s collected in there?

   I dont know how the oil would end up there. Id thought it be sat at the bottom of the strut. Does it feel spongy? Clean it and check it a day or so later

   Gaz are serviceable, so you can send it off if it's knackered. But how's oil that far up.

   It could be leaking through the adjuster as that's on the top of the threaded part. Best bet is to clean it up then bounce the car for a while and see if it returns

   Ill do that, but I was told its from the adjuster at the top by krisb.

   £30 + vat is a service and reseal from gaz, and they dont normally leak out of the adjuster at the top... if that much oil has come out then youll notice the difference between them, slight but noticeable, also thats a reallt long thread for a gaz...

   I thought it was going to be ridiculous that doesnt sound too bad, it is a gaz shock as well :') would it be advisable to send them both off or just the leaky one?

    And it's leaking from the adjuster im certain. Seen it a couple of times on other model GAZ.
