radio signal problem

   Having problems with radio signal in my vtr,
   Basicly the signal is crap, I've checked the cable unto the sterio and its connected fine, I've tried replacing the aerial but no change. I've also tryed 2 different stereos that didn't make any difference
   
   Anyone had a problem like this before?
   
   Any suggestions on how to fix this would be great.

   Did you replace just the ariel or the cable too?

   Try cleaning up the metal inside where the nut secures the aerial.

   I only replaced the Aerial not the cable.
   anyone got pics showing the path of the cable so I know how to replace it?

   Not sure if possible but hopefully tie end of new cable to end of old cable and pull through?
