Recentley my rear axel bearings went so i replaced the axle with a recond one. All well and good but i had to disoonnect my rear brake lines. So after re fitting the brake lines and bleeding them i thought id take it for a spin. However the immboliser light kept flashing and woundn't start to fuel pump. After disconnecting the battery a few times it would go away and the engine would start. Had this problem for a week now 1 in 10 chnge it would work and the light would go out so annoying when your stuck in a car park and she wont run. So i decided to do some investigating on the forums about possible causes. I came to the conclusion it was either a short circuit or a bad earth. So i retraced my path of work and looked for any cables/ earths near by. couldn't find anything apart from when i bled the brakes i over filled the reservoir tank so i disconnected the wiring plug for the low level fluid sensor and it was filled with brake fluid. Thought this coulndt be causing the ecu to fault so anyway i cleaned it out sprayed WD40 on it and connected it back up. Low and behold the immobiliser light hasnt come on since and it runs fine now. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on it and if anyone has had a similar problem before
