Heavy duty clutch?

   Will a heavy duty clutch slow my mk2 vtr down? It's all standard part from its been lowered my dad's mate is doing it and he rang my dad and said he put in a heavy duty one which will last longer.

   I didnt know there was such a thing as a 'Heavy duty' clutch. Are you sure he's not just trying to reassure you that your car will be ok now?
