Dastek: what is it and how it works?

    Hello!

I read on some post that you use Dastek Unichip, but in France, it's unknow!! However, that seems to be a great mod for ours cars!

But I need to know what is it exactly (in comparison to a standalone ECU) and how that can work with a turbo, considering that the OEM ECU can't manage a turbo.

Moreover, what versions are compatible with the Saxo VTS 1.6L 16v with en 3 plugs ECU? How to connect them together?

    Thanks for your help

dastek is a very old way of doing it--not used for long time
If fitting such a major mod as a turbo then standalone is your best option
Iam guessing by your post you will not be fitting and mapping it --the only other unit which can do same job --but better is an AEM FIC unit --but still not the same as a stand alone unit --but it can do it

    Oh, ok!

In fact, I think to a low-pressure turbo assembly. A friend set up his Saxo 16v with:

    - TU5J4 with standard internals
    - DP manifold and down pipe
    - GT2860 at 0.5 bar
    - 330cc injectors (at 3 bar)
    - 3.5 bar fuel pressure (with high pressure fuel pomp)
    - OEM ECU
    - AEM UEGO wideband AFR

His AFR is 14 at idle and 11.9 or 12 foot to the floor. But in my opinion, use the OEM ECU isn't really good (even if his AFR is right). Isn't it?

He has more than 6000km (3728 miles) and no problem!

I thought about using a MegaSquirt management is plug and play with a 2.5 bar MAP sensor:

But if there is a cheaper solution, I'm interested
