Knocking Inner Tierod. Where to find Power Steering diagrams?

  1. #1
Hi all when I get my car onto the axle stands and wiggle the passenger wheel I can see the whole of the tie rod setup has a lot of play in it and knocks along with it (I'm pretty sure it isn't the wheel bearing), when I give the inner tierod a good wiggle from the engine bay it feels real loose and I suspect it has been responsible for an annoying knock the cars had since I bought it..

Are there any diagrams knocking about so I can see if the offending part is serviceable? I need to get the air box off and have a good look when I have some spare time

    They're really simple.

It's a trackrod end that screws into a rod that bolts to the steering column.

All can be replaced, however I'd put my money on either the trackrod end is shot or the bolt to attach to the steering column is loose.

Cheers Chompy I think it is the bolt that's loose so I'll take it apart and inspect the who tie-track rod assembly for any wear as I have done 2k in it and god knows how long its been like it for.
