Clunking noises after lowering

  1. #1
Just lowered my saxo 60mm with apex shocks. I fitted new drop links and tightened everything to spec. Now it is knocking all over the front end. Any ideas?

How old are your ball joints on your wishbone?
  3. #3
Probably 14 years old lol they were fine before I lowered it, no knocking

The extra stress from lowering coupled with old wishbones is probably the reason for the knocking mate.

    No I didn't change them

Ok so I changed the wishbones and top mount and bearings for new. Some of the knocking has gone but not all of it. Still knocks on speed bumps or potholes

At this rate the whole front end will be replaced

The drop links are new so it can't be them.
