Best Track Suspension Setup

What is the best suspension setup for only track use, non road use.

I have been researching and found so many different opinions so after a definitive answer.

After an answer for the best combination of front spring lbs, front ARB, rear ARB, rear torsion bars and strut braces.

    Thanks in advanced.

    All depends on budget.

What are the options for low, mid and unlimited budget?

Low budget you'll be looking for a bargain im the second hand area. Cheap springs and shocks can be had for £100. Match that with some braces and it'll be ok.

These would fall into the middle budget. Cost about £300 using second hand shocks and put together with a bit of know how. You'd need rear shocks and braces on top at about another £150 depending on what you went for.

High end is going to be leda/ast or something of the likes. Maybe a conversion to 307 suspension and satchell rear. This is £1k+ though.

I believe the correct answer to your question is this, it's all down to personal preference.

Some will suggest B8's and eibachs with standard front and rear ARB from a VTS/GTi (19mm front 24 rear) and the original 19mm bars. You can buy 22mm torsion bars as well.

Stiffer suspension isn't always better, you want to keep all 4 wheels on the ground for maximum grip, if it starts going on 3 wheels easily, that's what you don't want.

3 wheels is fine, less than 3 wheels on the ground is where it starts getting tricky.

Haven't managed to get my 1.5d on 2 wheels yet front suspension is too soft.

What you bought from me will be fine with standard rear torsion bars and will be quite forgiving. If you go bigger torsion bars just change the springs to 300lbs +
