Random bolt?

I was having a look around my engine bay and I came across this long bolt hanging out of my alternator, serving no purpose what so ever, and very loose just wobbling around. Had my cambelt changed 2 weeks ago so I'm guessing its been placed there and forgotten about. Any ideas?

    How I found it:

shouldn't that be tensioning your aux belt on an 8v?

Should be another part to the bolt that adjusts the tension on the alternator belt.

I have had ones before that have not had the bolt fitted and just tightened down which worked ok but best if all there.

    Lol snickers please

I would just keep a eye on the belt tension but my girlfriends saxo was missing the bolt and it was fine for over a year like that.

It is a lot easier to adjust with the bolt being there but if not a big lever bar will do
