Convert a 106 LHD shell to RHD. Easy?

Hiya all, not been on here in ages but,

I have an opportunity to own a Pug 106 shell, complete with full welded in cage, (thru to strut tops, roof diagonal etc), full Proflex suspension set up and Dimma kitted complete with full wide track set up. Now comes the "down fall" of it, it's currently LHD and want it to be RHD for a few reasons, like the obvious the UK is RHD and I've never driven a LHD car and wishing to have it fully road legal.

I know I'd need things like;- dash, interior loom, brake link bar and a few other parts.

I'm an welder and fabricator by trade so that's a massive help.

So the question is, just how easy is it?

Anyone done it on here and willing to give me a bit of guidance.

I can't help advise you on the conversion, but what do you mean you wish to convert it to have it fully road legal? I'm sure LHD cars are legal, I see plenty of them around, and a lot of the HGVs I drive in work are LHD.

    Leave it LHD...

The braking system works a lot better as you don't have the brake bar and the weight distribution is a lot better on the LHD chassis. Some of the reasons why LHD shells seem more popular in rallying IIRC.

It's not illegal but I can imagine it makes overtaking a bitch and just makes everything that bit more annoying with less visibility. Most importantly though, you'd have to have arms like Mr. Tickle if you wanted a Mcdonalds drivethru.

I know LHD cars are legal to drive in the UK but like mentioned for over taking, blind spots and generally a pain in the arse to drive on the left side of the road in a LHD car.

Buying a shell as prepped as that is surely a waste if it's only going to be driven on the road? Is it a race car or track car? If it's a road car the. There's not much point of a Motorsport shell.. Unless you just want it to look cool as fuck
