Important! : saxo vts sound like a subaru

   was giving it some the other day in my saxo vts and it suddenly lost abit ( not a lot )of power. then sounds like a Subaru. thought it was the coil pack witch I got a new one and it still it sounds like one and loss of power I can still get 60/70 mph no problem . have I bent a valve or something ??? the whole engine shakes on idle .
   
   been told I need a whole new head is that right

   Are you sure the plugs are all good? Check those before doing anything else

   Gt comprssion dne smtimes if itz bad can sound like a sub might uf fried rings or big ends av shat the bed either way might as well scrap it.

    been told by a garage it is most likey iv bent a valve or 2 when I was on the limiter when I was on the wet floor. it still pulls ok and timing belt has not slipped and no oil burning

    Thr tryin to bent u over I got bent over once but thts a differnt story you won't of bent a valve unless timings slipped or you got mad valve float sik.

    Check plugs are not loose, when you say sounds like a sub are you running on 3 cylinders or running on 4 like a bag of shit ?

    If plugs and coil is all good I would say possibly spun big end bearing how long was you on limiter for ? or timing belt has skipped a tooth either way looks like its going to be a head off job.

    Compression test and check all injectors too. Thats what mine was.

    Rich112 on here, his Vts did the same the ended up being bent valves.

    how have the valves managed to bend though if the timing is ok and youve not had valve float/revved it too high (mis shift/limiter altered)? Unless one has dropped but then you'd have major damage in that cylinder

    Mine did the exact same thing when the head gasket went between two cylinders. As said, comp test it.

    Mine sounded like that after it spat out a spark plug.
    
    Plug was just sitting loose in the hole.
