Dropped Revs & Jerky Ride

    Another one for you experts!

    1.1 Desire year 2000 facelift model.

    Car goes along quite happily, and then intermittently starts to jerk and the revs drop, to an almost cut out stall. If you rev the engine it clears and then drives ok until its next temperamental outburst.

    I have put a bottle of Redex through it, but the problem still occurs. I can't pinpoint an exact reason.

    Mine does this sometimes. If it does it, its always when slowing down to a stop. Car just stalls.

    When sitting in traffic it chugs and then the revs go up sometimes by themselves or it stalls.

    Been happening a couple of years, not idea what it is...

    I had this on my Saxo and it's common.

    Green temp sensor is what sorted it for me in the end.

    Have you had it plugged in to see if the ecu has flagged out up?

    ive had mine plugged in numerous times over the years. Nothing ever came up.

    mine was map sensor and nothing flagged up on fault codes. jerking and juddering got worse longer it went on
