Saxo Forte won't start

    Hi guys,
Earlier I was using the car battery run an air compressor but the battery died. I tried to then charge the battery back up, but every time I have tried to start the car, it won't turn over. There are clicks going on under the bonnet when you go to start it, but then nothing happens. All the ignition lights work as they should when the ignition is on, but when you turn the key to start it, everything goes off like the battery has suddenly died, but only when you try and actually start it. The immobilizer comes on and off as normal when the ignition is turned on. Even though the battery is charged, could it just have been fucked by it being completely drained?
And it doesn't have a fob or anything on the key, its just a single key, no buttons or anything, if that's relevant.
    Any help is really appreciated!

Just sounds like the battery is dead! Try jumping it off another car if you can? If not, try charging the battery again! Definitely sounds like its just the battery being flat

The battery has been charged fully for definite, so it's not that, I think the discharge may of ruined the battery (it was an old cheap one anyway), is that possible? Either way, a new one is delivered on saturday so fingers crossed that will sort it. How would I know if the car was immobilised?

The car would make a clicking noise I think like yours does but removing the battery shouldn't immobilize it? Ive had my battery on and off so many times and Ive had it off for days then back on and its pretty much always dead at the mo because my car is just stood on the drive...wouldnt have thought it was immobilized!

Ok thats reassuring, like I said when ignition works but when you go to start it up everything goes off, like the battery doesn't actually have enough power to start the engine, I hope that's whats wrong, otherwise looks like a trip to the local shitroen garage"

It was the battery, thanks guys! Was unsure as it wasn't being a 'normal' dead battery, all fixed now though
