Starter motor wiring info (Battery light).

Hello there,i noticed, behind the engine, that a wire that has a yellow insulation on it,has some of the copper exposed,it's just above the starter motor,i'm 100% sure that the positive wire of the starter motor is okay so it can be excluded.

I was wondering what and how many wires goes to the starter motor or if it's just a positive and a ground, maybe that damaged wire has something to do with the battery light flickering.
    Many thanks.

Off the top of my head, there is another live that turns the light on/off on the dashboard(battery light)check the alternator connector & wrap some insulation tape around the exposed wire.

Are you talking about the 2 wires plastic plug on the alternator? If so i've checked it and didn't found any damage,i might use some electrical spray on it just in case.
