Are they the same thing? Maybe different amp ratings I have read but do they fit either bracketry and pulley setup? Or are they physically different?

someone must know this or has atleast tried fitting it? I'd rather keep the 16v tensioner and pulley on if I can but use the 8v alternator in place of the 16v one thats on simply for the fact that it sounds a little shagged.

I thought 16v was mounted differently, sure I read people converting it to vtr set up? Wether that helps or not

Mountings are different I know that much and you can swap at an 8v setup on an S but i'd rather not just yet save for swapping just the alternator.
