Single rear brake line

  1. #1
I have fitted a single rear brake line via a bias valve from my four port master cylinder. What I want to know is, should I run my fronts from a single port also or are they okay using a port each?

I have read its best to use a 4 port master cylinder. 1 brake line to the rear. 1 each for the front calipers. And blank the remaining 4th port.

And that is the setup i am going with

Thats what i have got. I'm wondering if I have just developed some air in the system or the caliper needs a refurbish.

The car hasn't been run since I changed the setup so I wanted to check if anyone else has had issues.

Guess the setup is fine then and i'll bleed that caliper to check for air first. if that doesn't fix it, it'll be a refurb kit.

2 fronts and split them, 1 on a front port and 1 on a rear, that way if one of the cyls in the master fails you still have brakes

Peugeot sport and Citroen racing manuals use 2 port master cylinder.

Doesn't really matter if you use a two or 4 port but yes split them front and rear, 4 port will save you needing to buy a tee piece for the front brakes.
