Lowering issue

  1. #1
I'm buying a new axle this week which I will get pre-lowered at either 35 or 40mm.

My issue is that I can't seem to get hold of any springs that DEFINITELY lower a VTR by that amount, it seems that every company other than apex base their spring height on the lower models and don't account for difference when fitting to a VTR or VTS.

Because i'm having both the springs and axle fitted at the same and having the axle pre lowered I can't afford for the springs to be fitted and ending up dropping the front a different height to the rear.

Any suggestions for a way round this?

Edit: Coilovers is not an option, my budget can only stretch to springs.

Get the springs fitted first and rear lowered to match later on.

I had my springs on a few weeks so they'd fully settle before IM axles lowered it 40mm for me. because i wasnt sure if it'd be on the piddle once stuff settled.

I have thought about that, but I only have the next two weekends of work so the axle has to be done within the next 2 weekends, not really leaving me much time to get the springs to me and fitted.
