Hey peeps! New to this page! Any help would be awesome Bought a vts a few weeks back with the most annoying clifford alarm, long story short! Neighbours and family were getting pissed of with it going of randomly and tbf so was I.. So just went out and cut the wire, in engine bay were the actual alarm is! And now my car won't start.. Fully gutted about this as it's my first car, test booked in a few weeks etc. Probably should have looked into things before I did it. Lesson learned.. Any help would be sweet

#9Did you get anywhere with this problem?Quote:Hey peeps! New to this page! Any help would be awesome Bought a vts a few weeks back with the most annoying clifford alarm, long story short! Are you anywhere near me? (Edenbridge, Sevenoaks way)
You may well find its a faulty (battery backup) siren, a sensor is set way to high, the cars battery is falling below an acceptable voltage (you'll know as the car will struggle to start)
As far as the car failing to start, I'm betting it has a relay hidden up in the cowling somewhere and as a fellow member has said, if the blue wire has been cut, re connect it.
Do you have any idea what Clifford it is? IE G3, G4 or G5
(G means generation and An Arrow III would be G3, Arrow 5.1 would be G5)
The alarm brain will be hidden somewhere in the car, so what did you cut? cam you post some pics and I'll see what I can come up with
PM when done, as I'm not on here every day but a PM will send me an email (I assume) and I read those daily
