Vtr Or Quiksilver?!!

  1. #1
    Hi everyone.

Im having a bit of a decision crisis! Ive had my heart set on a Saxo VTR for a while now and was planning to get one on my 18th birthday on the 14th of this month. However, ive just seen a 106 quiksilver in my area with alloys on and it looked gorgeous! I had forgotten about quiksilvers wen i decided i wanted a vtr!

Ive just rang quinn direct and the quiksilver is slightly cheaper to insure aswell! I really want to know what their performance is like, does anyone no what the performance is like compared to a vtr?!

I was wandering what your opinions are? (obvioulsy they might be slighlty biased towards the saxo! lol)

    Cheers

    0-60 mph: 9.1 s
    Power Output: 100 bhp
    Valves: 8
    Torque: 100 lb/ft
    Top Speed: 120 mph

    Quiksilver
    Engine Size: 1360 cc
    Cylinders: 4
    0-60 mph: 12.4 s

quicky has an alloy block so a lighter front end. I've seen 150bhp from that engine in competition spec. Mad, expensive, but probably a lot of fun

Not in my opinion, ive always prefered the look of the saxo!

Personally I like the look of the 106.

if its performance you're after then VTR is the better of the two.

but for looks i do think the 106 has aged less than the sax
  21. #21
lol i agree totally, its a battle of beauty and the beast
  22. #22
    Beast all the way !!!!!
  23. #23
is the vtr ur gettin the one in your avatar mate?
  24. #24
thats wot ill be lookin for once ive got the money on the 14th, its my idea of the perfect saxo!
  25. #25
altho they look sort of 'weak' in that colour if u no wot i mean, but its different
  26. #26
On the deck with antricite rims and headlights then smoked rears would be an awesome start
  27. #27
The 106 is the wagon of choice for 18 year olds around here who failed all there GCSEs and now work in phones for you.

Neither is a beauty, neither is a beast. The VTR would be my choice as its the least slow
  28. #28
and you can get it in yellow or two tone, which I quite like
  29. #29
    vtr. no questions
  30. #30
vtr in this case, although 106gti is the one!!
