Which Bolt???

  1. #1
Any help appreciated here... am replacing the thread worn VTR bolts (on the left) and have two set's to choose from. In the centre is a bolt from a set of VTR/S bolts I ordered off ebay and on the right is a bolt from a set off of a 306Gti6. They are going on a VTR and the wheels are Cyclones, I've trial fitted both and the 306 bolt seems a better fit but it's much narrower at the shoulder so I'm not sure I want to hit the road with them fitted!

Anyone know for definite which is better?

That 306 bolt is bent mate.

No it's just the angle of the thread

I'd most likely be fitting the middle one due to the shoulder size. It looks like everything except the head is identical from the picture so it looks like a good swap and should hold the wheel in place a lot better that the other one.

except for the fact it wont fit most standard saxo alloy wheels due to that larger diameter section unless its a very late car.

check the wheels. if its just a straight bore use the 306 bolts, if it has a larger bore section first then the normal bore hole and the washer will seat on the larger shanked bolt use those.
