VTS Conversion

Hi all, I need some help.

I've got a 51 plate VTR that has been partly converted with a 98 VTS engine. It has several problems but the one im currently working on is the fuel return pipe, I think!! I've got a pipe coming out of the left hand end of the fuel rail and then it pops up by the air box and is capped off.

Am I right in thinking the 51 won't have a fuel return pipe but the 98 VTS engine will need one.

If it does need one will the 51 fuel tank be able to be fitted with the return pipe or will I need a 98 tank?

    Yeah it should have one.

You can add the return piping to you're original tank though.

Mines been 'capped off' for 3 years.. Runs fine / 40mpg on runs.. could/would be better with one on.
