1.1 2002 Saxo rear wheel rubbing

  1. #1
    Hey everyone,

Yesterday i was giving one of my friends a lift and she was sitting in the rear passenger side (also had someone in the passenger seat) and straight away i noticed a strange rubbing noise it sounded like a bearing to start with i stopped twice to check it out everything seemed fine there was plenty of clearance while she was still in the car. When i dropped her off the rubbing went away. I checked for damage everything seemed like normal, the car is still on stock suspension and on 14" Alloys.

Also to note if i had to guess she would be around the 13 stone mark but still wouldn't think it should be a problem any ideas on what would cause this to happen? Would be really appreciated

    What sized tyres are fitted??

Or could be rear axle on the way out?!

Take the wheel and see where it's been rubbing but as above, wrong sized wheel or axle on its way out with the wheels leaning in at the top!

From the rear of the car what is the camber like?

I will check the tyre size tomorrow and there is no camber at all. I can check again but i don't think there was any marks on the car where it was rubbing it looked normal and it was only a 10 minute drive which i wouldn't think would be long enough to cause damage but i could be wrong.

Ok no camber at all and the size is 185/55R14, There are some rub marks around the 2 o'clock position and a crack at the 4 o'clock but i'm sure that was already there
