why would a torsion bar be welded up

   Got an axle but torsion bar had been welded up. Just wondering why someone would do this.

   Lol think your right there. There isnt even a bolt holding the other side in either.

   Torsion bar or arb end plate? The latter is because the bolt threads are fucked

   Could be that someone knackered the splines in the trailing arm when smacking the bars out
