Engine swap question 16v to 16v

   Hi, if i sourced a new engine for my vts would it be a matter or of just dropping it in and away you go? In the way you just plug in a portable harddrive and it just works lol, or does it need coding to ecu or anything like that?

   If it's the same engine going on it should be fine!

   you might need to swap some sensors depending on the age difference between engines / wiring looms, and if the new engine comes with the sensors.

   Get any 16v engine doesn't matter on year or anything, drop yours out, swap yoir sensors over even if they are the same seen as you already know yours are all alright, swap loom over and no messing around with ecu required
