J4 block jp4 head.

   Is it true that the j4 bottom end is stronger than the jp4 and the jp4 has the better head? So would the combination of j4 bottom end with jp4 head, canes exhaust and intake, valve springs etc produce and overall strong reasonable powered engine. That can handle a little stress.

   Do they bolt together with no modifications? I've got a J4 bottom end and JP4 head and wondered about doing this but the combustion chamber is slightly different so would lower the compression at a glance? And the water galleries are slightly different.
