#27I'm tempted to give that a go ^;£

#28I believe that's correct OllieJolly. The pre 2001 font/sizing is different also... dunno if you can get the old style now.1 user thanked this post:

#29That's bullshit. You don't need your postcode on any plate at all.Quote:Would I be correct in thinking that anything before a 51 plate is not required to have a postcode on them?
For example I recently bought some bog standard plates for about £10 on ebay, and they do indeed come with postcode, but I was just curious. Mines a W reg, so in theory wouldn't need the postcode? -
#31Well since when do you need to put your own postcode on your own number plate? What is the point?
Can you find me it on the Direct Gov website as I'm struggling to find anything about it....
Edit: It is bullshit
Read the following:
https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/overview -
#32I thought you meant your own personal postcode, not the supplier of the plate.
But that's irrelevant anyway, because all you need is the reg in the correct format - like it says on the link I posted above. -
#33Link doesn't work. I've had many pre 01 cars which never had any sort of post code on the plate, and a couple of newer cars which didn't either.
Well if it is true I think you'd have to be one unlucky motherfucker to get prosecuted over it.... -
#34My '98 saxo had the postcode on and 2000 k11 had it on the plates too.
Unless it's changed im sure you had to have the bd postcode on. -
#35My plates that were made up for me by motorworld have they're postcode on.
-
#36Maybe I'm wrong then, but I've never heard of it and I can't find any info on it.
What is the point though? Where the plate was made has no relevance to the car or owner. -
#37Who cares anyway lol

#40its the postcode where plate is made

#42Where are these from mate?Quote:Attachment 17746
German pressed plates ftw. -
#44are they road legal tho ross?
as I thought only Dubmeister made road legal plates due to most not being reflective -
#45As far as Ross is concerned they are
lolol
-
#47Nowhere near legal lol. The font is the biggest issue with them.Quote:are they road legal tho ross?

#51I wanted RS04 OMG or something like that, but all the goodun's are goneQuote:You may be a beardy, parachuting, turbo wielding alpha male with the worlds best BBQ, but that's pretty gay

It's not that gay, but I did lol.
