why is this sticking out?

   Yet another problem with the s i had my tracking done and just noticed this bit is sticking out is that right.. Dosent look right to me soneone help please 😃�

   You need a new gatier that's on the end of your steering column,

   But the bit inside is meant to stick out? Or does it move in and out with the steering... Scrappy here i come cheers mate

   It moves back and forth when the wheels turn. It needs a gaitor over the end for it to extend into without drawing in dirt, the other end uses a tube as the ram for the steering arm is bolted to the end of it.

   Yeah you need a new steering boot, its not that difficult to replace them, just undo one bolt, turn the wheel around and it should all slide off/on for refitting. The one on the end just slips on and is cable tied IIRC

   Best replace both because the other one will probs be on the way out+ its an mot fail
   
   Make sure when you put the bolt back in that it locks securely into the notch on the steering rack
