anyone else gt a furio??

   hey guys i was just wandering if furios are good cars performance wise. can they compete with other standard 1.4s??

   no they're slow. if you want a fast saxo then buy a vts. you buy a furio if you cant afford the insurance on a vtr/s or want the vt* looks but aren't bothered by the lack of performance.

   I think he means against other 1-4s mate, obviously a VTS is faster but furios are pretty nippy for what they are, eg they are faster than other cars of the same spec

   i beg to differ, if you want a fast 1.4 go for an AX GTI.

   Hell yes. AX GTI is a proper little bag of fun. 100bhp too. AX GT is also a big bag of fun

    yeah i got one, theyre pretty good for what they are, i've had a few passengers get really suprised when i tell em its only a 1.4 but thats probably more to do with the fact that theyre not really into cars

    I like my furio, it does as I want it to. I get the sexy looks, with cheap insurance. And I wouldn't swap my furio for anything else, its actualy suprisingly nippy for what it is, but thats because its so light.

    I've got nothing against furio's,I used to love mine.But when I changed it for a vts,i realised how much i was missing out on.Also I couldn't stand the yellow and blue interior!lol :

    if you drove a vts you would realise the furio isnt fast, and to say its fast for what it is isnt true, a ax gt is 1.4 aswell and s1 rallye is a 1.3 and both are a lot quicker.

    I ment for a 75bhp car, not the engine size.

    Ive got an AX GTi, they are damn quick as standard for a 1.4 8 valve. I did the following mods to mine:
    
    VTR 1.6 Short cylinder block (VTi Engine)
    GTi Gas flowed, ported & polished cylinder head x
    Kent 285 degree cam
    S1 Rallye Inlet Manifold & Throttle Body
    Green air filter
    BTB 4-1 branch Exhaust manifold
    Custom straight through S/S centre pipe (de-cat)
    Mongoose S/S de-cat back system
    FSE power boost valve
    Vernier pulley
    Lightened & Balanced flywheel
    VTR Injectors
    RR Setup
    Dastek
    
    Would have been awesome if it was running right, still got work to do on it. At the mo i have a VTS with a shagged head on it
    
    I agree with the others..... if you want a quick nippy 1.4 then go for the AX GTi, there awesome and sound wicked with the S1 inlet mani on (baby throttle bodies)

    Its got 16's on and is lowered 120mm at rear and 70mm front. Sounds awesome! Nice and powerful growl / roar. I did all the work myself, from standard to howit is now.

    It was a beast, i did all the body work myself and it came out wicked! Unfortunatly i sold her soon after getting my GTi
    
    The GTi is off the road now though as it needs the engine working on, i use the VTS as my every day road car for the time been.

    I have the westy for a first car. Kicks all my mates 1.2s and 1.4s into touch. Cant quite keep up with my mates VTS though...

    i have a furio. its my first car, and not bad at all tbh. your never gonna appreciate a VTS as much if you dont start off slower are you? furio's still look the shit tho.
