Saxo 1.1 manifold mysterd

  1. #1
My daughter has just purchased a near mint 1.1 saxo Forte, 2300 miles on the clock and it's like a time-warp! Under the bonnet all seems clean and quiet though it idles a little unevenly when warm. On the inlet manifold there is what looks to be a hose connection with nothing attached to it. I've looked through the FAQs and googled but can't work out if something is missing. Nothing looks loose or disconnected.

It the small pipe visible above the two silver screws on the right of this picture:

    Can anyone advice me please?

    Thanks in anticipation,

Its just a breather pipe mate im sure it goes to the rocker cover? Get a new pipe from the scrap yard. Thats whats causing the uneven idle.

Thanks for your reply...I still cannot see any loose pipe work for it to attach to, nor anywhere on the cam cover with room for a pipe to attach...

Looking on-line, none of the pics I can see even have this pipe. Maybe it should be blanked off?

run car-- is there any suck form this pipe --if not its not in use --but blocking it off when it should be connected means there is another connection somewhere that is also open to the world. bit of archeolgy required
