16V fuel pump pressure

What´s the stock fuel pump pressure before FPR?
  2. #2
Hi if I remember right its about 3bar I have a walbro which is also 3bar just pumps more fuel

what are you asking --what pressure can the std pump make?
    ?
that is of no use to you unless you also know what volume of fuel at a given pressure a pump will deliver .
If the pump is a REAL 1.6 saxo pump +not a 1.4 one then the highest value fuel reg you can fit and get good volume is a 4 .5 bar
that will give enough fuel for over 300 bhp
higher FPR pressure than that and the volume will drop too much .
If you look at any spec chart for any pump you will see that as pressure rises volume drops
unless your car is a 400 bhp +turbo --then a good std pump is all you ever need even on a tuned car --fuel surge when running tank low and high cornering speeds --that diferent problem

I´m asking what pressure std pump make or can take because I have 4 bar FPR.

As John said - standard pump can do 4 bar no problem. The volume of fuel is of course a factor also (higher pressure = less fuel throughput) but you don't seem concerned by that so... In answer to your question: yes - standard 1.6 16v fuel pump is fine for 4bar pressure.

Okay, my mods are just Catcams 743, supersprint full exhaust and raceland induction, so volume shouldn´t be a problem, thanks for advice

then standard fuel pressure would be fine. What ECU are you using?
  8. #8
Standard 3 plug one, waiting for remap.

Don't bother then. Standard fpr is fine. 4bar fpr on those mods will be a waste of money. And if you fit it before a remap it'll run like shit, bore wash, and probably cost you the engine...
