Will Airbag light go back off?

  1. #1
As the title says really, if I fit an aftermarket steering wheel, when I re-fit the standard wheel will the airbag light go straight back off?
  2. #2
    You'll need a 2.2 ohm resistor.

So when the standard steering wheel goes back on after the aftermarket one comes off, the light will still stay on?
  4. #4
No if you connect the airbag plug back.

Ahh ok good thank you, i didn't want to set the alarm light on and then have no way of reverting it back to standard

It resets by itself don't worry.

Most likely the connector under the passenger seat doens't have a secure connection.

The proper way is to cut off the connectors and join the wires using spade terminals. then fully insulate them with tape.

If you pop to citroen they sell insulated connectors where you insert each end of the wires, then heat up the solder in the middle to form a connection.

But you need to cut that if you take the seat out

    also requires heat.

    Crimping is easier

That is by far the simplest way though, never used em before.

Can still leave it joined if you unplug from the pretensioner end.
