LED upgrade

   Came across this cree LED kit for headlights, I just wondered if anyone has tried this? And can compare it to HID lights? Just curious I can't be bothered with the faff, I've just never seen LED's as a main headlight except for the crappy bulbs.

   I looked into these briefly and believe they are shit. There's a video somewhere showing them to be bright as fuck when you look at them but they don't throw any light on the road

   Exactly as above. CREE LED Lights have been around for ages for cyclists, and they're good, but some of the bike ones even are ridiculous in terms of light output, they blind car drivers without throwing a beam pattern. It's like fitting HID's to standard headlights, except it makes you more of a cunt

   I have two Cree torches which are the tits and I use as bike lights, but it's the combination of the led and the reflective cone in the torch which produces the throw. Chucking Cree LEDs in a standard headlight is just wank

   My Cree torch is absolutely awesome. For the money it's so fucking bright!!
   
   I was looking at the cree sidelights, anyone had any experience with them? All I want is a less yellow set to match my HID's!

   ring rally sport bulbs with a bit of rewiring, relay nice strong battery feed and a good earth etc

   The kit in the link is for off road use only and would not be legal to use on the road.
