    Hi folks.

I bought a lightly used one on ebay last night, but it needs a clean. Is it best to stick to the official k+n cleaning method or is there another way?

    Cheers.

Not sure if this is the proper way but I just soak them in petrol and once they dry out give them a spray with the oil.

It says on the proper k and n cleaning kit I have here to wash them out with warm soapy water then let it dry and recoat in the oil. I'd stick to doing it that way really

I've always scrubbed mine lightly with a nailbrush and soapy water, then very lightly coating with the oil when it's dry.
