Keyless start

I've seen a few push starts but all of them still have to use the key is there anyway I could have a switch to put the electrics on and a switch to start as I am hoping to not use the key on my track car

yeah, correct rated relays/switches for the ignition and accesory feeds off the barrel, same concept as the starter really. and remove the steering lock

+1 I fail to see what advantage there is in having a push button start, other than looks.

its because he doesnt want a key at all so you will need something to start the car lol

my mate had his 106 set up so you started it with a couple flicks of a switch and a push button start, highly risky but it was an old banger plus a random wouldnt know from the outside that you didnt need a key

you might be able to wire it up some how so it still needs the immobiliser chip to start if it some how could sense it without having to be passed through the ignition barrel pick up ring

I know what you're saying just thinking well it takes secs to start with a key.i used to know an auto electrician who had a keyless system whereby pressing any button in the car allowed him to start it.since been told by another sparky that it's pretty dangerous.

The way I've done it just uses the wires from the ignition Barrel for some switches. Can't be dangerous?

Does make it easier to steal granted, but you need an ecu to start it. Or at least that's my saftey method.

in your case chompy, they need a drivers seat and atleast an hour to finish all the stuff you have started before they could nick it! LOL
