Front shock removal from strut

    What's the Easiest way to remove the shock from the strut assemblie?
    Bought some secondhand b8 struts but I want to fit them to my be set-up.

    clamp the spring first, unscrew the collar and just pull it out with the top mount?

    Or you could clamp the spring undo the top damper bolt and undo the collar and have the damper out on it's own?

    impact gun the top not off but clamp the spring first, then use a set of stilsons if you havent got the correct tool to remove the collar
